About The Opportunity

Claystone has an opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis in Ryley, Alberta. This is a remote role that requires being able to travel to Ryley, Alberta as required.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager (BDM), the Sales Support Specialist will be part of the team responsible for ensuring excellent service and growth with all accounts in the company. You will be required to source sales leads and provide sales support for the BDM.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing communication by phone and email to all customers in the portfolio regarding price, package, and product changes
  • Developing an understanding of the waste management market and how Claystone can service those markets
  • Following up on RFQ’s and communicating with customers to validate requests in a timely manner
  • Developing proposals, quotes and presentations to secure new business tailored to customers’ needs and Claystone guidelines
  • Sourcing new leads and converting them into ongoing customers by building lasting connections and relationships with them
  • Checking websites for municipal, provincial, and federal RFQ in the waste management market
  • Ensuring customers queries and complaints are handled timely and efficiently, providing information to customers on Claystone policies for waste handling
  • Maintaining Claystone's brand resources including website and social media platforms
  • Assisting in tradeshows/sponsored events to promote Claystone
  • Reporting sales metrics to BDM and Management team

More About You

To qualify, you will have a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education in Business, Commerce or Business Administration. You will also have 3+ years business administration or sales experience

The following skills, experience, and abilities are also required:

  • Knowledge of the waste management industry, or the ability to learn about it
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms
  • Experience with a CRM system, such as Salesforce 

Experience implementing and managing system and process changes would be considered an asset. Some travel to trade shows would also be required.
